Kazuri Bead Factory

Much of the jewelry is made from ceramic beads handmade at the Kazuri Bead Factory.  We visited the factory and they gave us a tour.  We got to see the entire bead-making process, from making the clay to finishing the beads in the kiln.  Here are pictures from our visit:

Each woman has a specialty - round beads, flat beads, painting, etc.

Local jewelery artists can come here to buy beads for their own projects.
